Rape convict Robinho arrested in Brazil, will be jailed: police

Former Manchester City and Real Madrid footballer Robinho was arrested Thursday in Brazil to serve a nine-year sentence on a rape conviction in Italy, police said.

"On Thursday night, the Federal Police carried out an arrest warrant... against Robson de Souza," popularly known as Robinho, federal police in the southeastern city of Santos told AFP in a statement.
