Report: Inter to sign Sanchez on loan after striking deal with United
Antonio Conte continues to raid Manchester United.
Inter have reportedly reached an agreement with the Red Devils to sign Alexis Sanchez on a season-long loan, reports Fabrizio Romano of Sky Sport Italia.
The Serie A side will pay €5 million of the Chilean's €12-million salary, Romano adds.
In moving back to Italy, the former Udinese standout will reunite with Romelu Lukaku, who also joined Inter from United earlier this summer.
Sanchez, 30, is expected to arrive in Milan on Wednesday, where he'll undergo medical examinations and sign his Nerazzurri contract.
It was reported earlier in August that Inter's unwillingness to cover a significant portion of the veteran attacker's wages were jeopardizing the deal, but it seems as though the two clubs found a compromise.
Sanchez will be hoping that Conte is the man to help him rediscover the form of his Arsenal heyday. The versatile forward was widely regarded as one of the world's most explosive players while at the Emirates, but he's seen his stock fall off a cliff since moving to Old Trafford in January 2018.
He scored just three Premier League goals during his stint with United.
