Tottenham Hotspur is subtracting a centre-back from its squad.
On Saturday, Tottenham announced that an agreement has been reached with AS Roma for the permanent transfer of Federico Fazio. The Argentinian defender joined the Giallorossi on a season-long loan for a fixed fee of €1.2 million, and the agreement included the option to make the transfer permanent - depending on the completion of certain sporting targets - for a fee of €3.2 million.
Fazio played in all but one of Roma's Serie A games last season, tallying two goals and one assist during that time. The product of Ferro Carril Oeste joined Tottenham from Sevilla in 2014 but failed to find much in the way of minutes at White Hart Lane.
