AC Milan signs Kessie from Atalanta on 2-year loan; obligation to buy
Atalanta BC finally accepted an offer for Franck Kessie.
AC Milan announced the signing of Kessie from Atalanta on a two-year loan Friday with an obligation to buy. The Ivorian midfielder put pen to paper on a contract through 2019, and is the Rossoneri's second signing of the summer transfer window after the Italian club acquired Mateo Musacchio from Villarreal.

Milan and Atalanta reportedly reached a €28-million agreement in May, as the Rossoneri beat AS Roma in the race to sign the footballer. La Dea reportedly rejected a €25-million offer from Chelsea in December, as well as a £15-million bid from Everton in January. Kessie's agent, George Atangana, told the Guardian's Ed Aarons of interest from Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, and Arsenal.
Kessie joined Atalanta in January 2015 after taking the pitch at Stella Adjame in Cote d'Ivoire.
Only 32 minutes after Kessie's transfer to Milan was announced, Atalanta confirmed its acquisition of Robin Gosens from Heracles Almelo.
