Joe Hart thanked Torino supporters via Instagram on Monday after spending most of the season on loan in Italy from Manchester City.

The English international goalkeeper told ESPN FC's Ben Gladwell on Sunday that he believes another loan away from his parent club "is not the right thing for me at me age," increasing the likelihood of a permanent switch from City this summer.

The Shrewsbury-born shot-stopper wore a T-shirt after Sunday's 5-3 trumping of Sassuolo showing solidarity for Manchester following the terror attack at an Ariana Grande concert last Monday, but has been shunted further out of the picture at the Etihad Campus in recent days. Willy Caballero has left City, but is reportedly set to be replaced by Benfica's Ederson, who will join in a world-record transfer for a goalkeeper. That would leave Hart behind Ederson, Claudio Bravo, and perhaps even Angus Gunn when he returns following his Torino loan.

With the Toro opting not to aggressively pursue the 30-year-old Hart's services on a permanent basis, Tuttosport understands the club is instead eyeing Salvatore Sirigu from Paris Saint-Germain to fill the void.
