Juventus' Alex Sandro leaves Supercoppa with apparent injury

Juventus lost influential left-back Alex Sandro midway through the opening half of Friday's Supercoppa Italiana against AC Milan, the Brazilian leaving the contest with what appeared to be a muscular ailment.

He was replaced by veteran Frenchman Patrice Evra in the 33rd minute.

Sandro, 25, has been arguably Juventus' best player this season, dominating up and down the left flank, providing attacking flair, aerial presence, and a creative outlet for a side that relies heavily on wing play.

Prior to limping off the pitch at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in Doha, Qatar, he showcased some of that talent with a sumptuous piece of skill:

With right-back Dani Alves already sidelined for an extended period of time due to a broken leg, manager Massimiliano Allegri will no doubt be hoping he doesn't lose his starting option on the other flank as well.
