Napoli's Gonzalo Higuain: Brace in Copa quarterfinals
Higuain netted a brace on three shots (two on target) in Saturday's 4-1 Copa America Centenario Venezuela romp.
Analysis:
It seemed like it was already Christmas to Higuain. The striker was given a couple of generous gifts within the first half an hour of the game. First, he received a beautiful through pass from Leo Messi to hammer the opener with a deadly finish and then a Venezuelan defender gifted him the ball on the edge of his own penalty area and the forward doubled his tally for the night. Higuain and Los Gauchos will take on the USA, and their seemingly getting stronger and stronger defense, on Tuesday for a spot on the final of the competition.
