Jordan landed at No. 4 on the list with an estimated net worth of $1.7 billion thanks to his sneaker empire and 90 percent ownership stake in the Charlotte Hornets. His Hornets share alone is valued at $800 million, according to Forbes.

Woods tied with author James Patterson for No. 9 with a net worth of $800 million. Forbes estimated Woods has earned $1.5 billion since turning pro in 1996, with more than 90 percent of that coming from endorsements, appearance fees, and golf course design work.
