Red Sox fan hospitalized in L.A. for stab wounds suffered after Game 5
Following Game 5 of the World Series, which the Boston Red Sox won to clinch their fourth championship since 2004, Josh Davis was hospitalized with five stab wounds, teeth missing, and a fractured nose suffered in a brawl with a Los Angeles Dodgers fan.
Davis, 36 and stationed at Cedars-Sinai Hospital, told NECN that he was confronted by two men who told him that "this is Dodger country right here." Wearing a Red Sox hat, Davis said he wound up being assaulted by upwards of nine different people, and believes he was stabbed with a screwdriver.
A Massachusetts native, Davis now lives in L.A. On Wednesday, Davis posted to Facebook, explaining his status while stating he was O.K, "just very sore."
The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating, though no arrests have been made.
