Look: Royals, Mariners turn ahead the clock with funky uniforms
So, this is the future of baseball: Numbers on the front of helmets, massive logos on jerseys, sleeves optional.
The Seattle Mariners hosted the Kansas City Royals in Turn Ahead the Clock night at Safeco Field on Saturday, and it was quite the spectacle. Mariners designated hitter Nelson Cruz, for one, was living by the "suns out, guns out" way of life.

Cruz wasn't alone. Outfielder Ben Gamel got to show off sleeves of a different nature.

It was a far more casual affair, just look at Dee Gordon:

Though, the Mariners did eventually tuck in their shirts at what appeared to be the request of the umpires.

Unfortunately for Mariners starter Felix Hernandez, it was more style over substance in the first inning as Royals third baseman Mike Moustakas launched a three-run shot deep into the night.

Even the scoreboard got in on the action.

The Royals featured a modification of their historical motif, while the Mariners definitely turned things on their heads.

It's not the first time the Mariners have broken out the unis from the world of tomorrow. Ken Griffey Jr. and company donned the purple and silver 20 years ago.

So, what do you think? Are they winning, or should this future never come?
