Al Horford has joined the Boston Celtics' preposterously long list of inactives for Wednesday night's nationally televised game against the Washington Wizards.
The All-Star center has been ruled out for a second straight game with an illness. He joins Kyrie Irving (knee), Jaylen Brown (concussion), Marcus Smart (thumb), Daniel Theis (knee), and Gordon Hayward (lower leg) on the Celtics' injury report.
Things could get even more dire, too, as rookie swingman Jayson Tatum is currently listed as probable with lower back tightness.
Maybe the Wizards will show up wearing all black again, to echo the funereal vibe of this once-promising ESPN showdown.
