Jabari cleared to play back-to-backs, will suit up vs. Pistons
Less than a month into his return from a torn ACL, Milwaukee Bucks forward Jabari Parker has been cleared to play both ends of back-to-backs, the team announced.
Twenty-four hours after playing in the Bucks' loss to the Washington Wizards, Parker will be in the lineup for Friday night's tilt with the Detroit Pistons.
The Bucks have slowly ramped up Parker's workload since he returned from a year-long absence at the beginning of February, starting him out on a 15-minute limit, scaling it up to 20, and finally nudging him toward a starter's load in the past week. He played a season-high 27 minutes in Thursday's game, scoring a season-high 19 points. It will be interesting to see if they scale him back down on the second night of the back-to-back.
In nine games back from his second major knee surgery, the 22-year-old has averaged 11.2 points and four rebounds (20.5 and 7.3, on a per-36-minute basis), while shooting 48.6 percent from the field and 42.9 percent from 3-point range.
