New Phillies manager Kapler creates social media challenge for his players
It appears Gabe Kapler is bringing more than just his baseball IQ - and bulging physique - to the Philadelphia Phillies.
Kapler has started a challenge with his players to help them spread each other's social media accounts and bond in the process, according to Cut4.
The 42-year-old Kapler, a former player and first-year manager, decided to pair up some of the more marquee players (who had a higher amount of followers on Instagram and Twitter) such as Carlos Santana and Rhys Hoskins with lesser-known Phillies such as Franklyn Kilome and Nick Pivetta.
If you guys really support talented baseball players, you must follow Franklyn Kilomé (@FranklynKilome). This young pitcher is a rising star in the Phillies organization! pic.twitter.com/r0XtWl8a3F

Kapler plans to award the pair who earns the most new followers with a prize, which prompted some of the competitors to go all-in.
