The rookie point guard has missed the last 15 games due to an MCL sprain in his left knee. The injury also forced him out of the Rising Stars game last weekend at All-Star weekend in L.A.
Ball, 20, is averaging 10.2 points, 7.1 rebounds,7.1 assists, and 1.5 steals over 36 games. Los Angeles is 8-7 in the six weeks since the No. 2 pick went down. The team recently acquired fellow point guard Isaiah Thomas, but president Magic Johnson made it clear Ball is the starter.
