The Minnesota Lynx will be without Napheesa Collier for an extended period after the All-Star forward suffered a sprained right ankle, the team announced.

While an MRI revealed that Collier avoided a major injury, she is still expected to be sidelined for at least two weeks, sources told ESPN's Kendra Andrews.

Collier sustained the injury during the third quarter of Saturday's 111-58 blowout victory over the Las Vegas Aces.

The 28-year-old reigning Defensive Player of the Year is having a monster season for the Lynx. Collier is averaging a league-high 23.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.6 blocks for Minnesota and is currently a significant favorite to win league MVP.

Collier's absence means she'll miss Tuesday's WNBA Finals rematch between the Lynx and New York Liberty. Liberty star Breanna Stewart is also sidelined indefinitely with a bone bruise in her right knee.

The Lynx enter Tuesday's contest with a league-best 24-5 record on the heels of the historic drubbing of the Aces. It was the largest road victory in WNBA history and second-largest margin overall.
