Frankie Montas could make his New York Mets debut Tuesday against the Atlanta Braves at Citi Field.

"He's scheduled to throw a bullpen tomorrow and most likely he will go on Tuesday," Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said Friday, according to SNY.

Montas hasn't pitched this season after injuring his lat before spring training.

The 32-year-old began his throwing program in April and struggled through his minor-league rehab assignment, posting a 12.05 ERA in six outings. The right-hander allowed five runs in his most recent start Wednesday, throwing 80 pitches.

Montas joins a depleted rotation that is without Kodai Senga, Sean Manaea, Tylor Megill, and Christian Scott due to injuries.

The Mets signed Montas to a two-year, $34-million contract in December.
