Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders was cited by police Tuesday morning for driving 101 mph, according to police records obtained by ESPN.

Sanders, 23, was stopped by an officer in Strongsville, Ohio, at 12:24 a.m. for driving his black Dodge TRX truck 41 mph over the posted speed limit of 60. He now must either pay a $250 fine for the fourth-degree misdemeanor or fight the ticket July 3 in Strongsville Mayor's Court, ESPN added.

This wasn't Sanders' first speeding citation in the state. A court record filed June 6 states that the Ohio State Patrol pulled Sanders over in Brunswick Hills, Ohio, earlier this month after he drove 91 mph in a 65 mph zone, according to Talia Naquin, Ed Gallek, Peggy Gallek of WKBN-TV.

Sanders has addressed the tickets with the Browns.

"He is taking care of the tickets," Browns spokesman Peter John-Baptiste told Alex Darus of Cleveland.com.

The rookie QB joined the Browns as a fifth-round pick after a shocking fall in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Colorado product participated in the team's mandatory minicamp last week.
