The Los Angeles Angels blanked the Yankees 4-0 on Tuesday, handing New York its third straight shutout loss.

It's the first time since 2016 that the Yankees have been held scoreless in three consecutive games.

New York has lost five straight games and is scoreless over the last 29 innings.

A shutout loss in Wednesday's game against the Angels would break the franchise record of scoreless innings (37) set by the Highlanders in 1908, according to The Athletic's Chris Kirschner.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said postgame that things will start to click if the lineup can find a way to extend at-bats.

"We'll come in with the right process and just really focus on grinding out quality at-bats," Boone said, according to SNY. "When we start to stack those, we'll take off."

Star outfielder Aaron Judge struck out three times in four at-bats Tuesday. He has just three hits in 24 at-bats with 15 strikeouts over his last seven games.

The Yankees failed to record a hit in three at-bats with runners in scoring position. They have just five hits in 45 at-bats in those situations over the last six games.
