Houston Astros third baseman Isaac Paredes sustained a left hamstring injury running to first base in the seventh inning of Thursday's 4-3 win over the Chicago White Sox.

Astros manager Joe Espada said postgame the team "will know more tomorrow" about Paredes' status moving forward, according to Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle.

Paredes hit his team-leading 15th home run of the season in the bottom of the fifth inning.

The Astros acquired Paredes from the Chicago Cubs in the Kyle Tucker blockbuster trade. The 26-year-old has been excellent at the plate in his first year in Houston, registering an .831 OPS with 15 home runs, nine doubles, one triple, 37 runs scored, and 42 RBIs in 67 games.
