Golden State Warriors majority owner Joe Lacob isn't experiencing any buyer's remorse after trading for and extending Jimmy Butler.

Lacob told The Athletic's Sam Amick that while he did have some initial worries, he's thrilled with how the deal turned out.

"Yeah, there were (concerns about Butler)," Lacob said Sunday night after the Warriors won Game 7 of their first-round series. "But you do your analysis, you make your choices, and, yeah, it was a little bit of a risk. But we've got to take risks in this life. And he's worth every freaking penny. That's all I can say. He's fantastic."

The Miami Heat traded Butler to the Warriors in February following a tumultuous period during which the Heat suspended him multiple times for conduct detrimental to the team. The Warriors immediately signed Butler, 35, to a two-year, $121-million extension that keeps him under contract through the 2026-27 season.

The six-time All-Star played an integral role in the Warriors' series against the Houston Rockets, averaging 18.3 points, six rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game to help lead Golden State into the second round.
