Denver Broncos linebacker Dre Greenlaw sustained a quadriceps strain during a workout, sources told The Athletic's Nick Kosmider.

Greenlaw is expected to miss some of the Broncos' offseason activities while he rehabs but doesn't require surgery, and his availability won't be impacted for the regular season, Kosmider reports.

The 27-year-old linebacker signed a three-year deal worth up to $31.5 million with Denver in March. Greenlaw played in just two games in 2024 with the San Francisco 49ers after sustaining an Achilles injury during the first half of Super Bowl LVIII against the Kansas City Chiefs.

He was an integral piece of the Niners' defense in 2022 and 2023, recording at least 120 tackles in each season. The Arkansas product evolved from a 2019 fifth-round selection into one of the club's most reliable tacklers.

The veteran defender was poised to join a talented unit that features Nik Bonitto, Jonathan Cooper, and Alex Singleton. Drew Sanders, a 2023 third-rounder, could see more snaps in training camp while Greenlaw rehabs.
