Lightning's Bjorkstrand out week-to-week with lower-body injury
Tampa Bay Lightning head coach Jon Cooper announced Sunday that forward Oliver Bjorkstrand is out week-to-week with a lower-body injury, according to team reporter Gabby Shirley.
Cooper is hopeful Bjorkstrand will be able to return at some point during the postseason.
Bjorkstrand has 21 goals and 46 points in 79 games on the campaign. The Lightning acquired him March 5, and he has five goals and nine points in 18 contests with his new team.
The Lightning sent forward Mikey Eyssimont, conditional first-round picks in 2026 and '27, and a 2025 second-round pick to the Seattle Kraken for Bjorkstrand and forward Yanni Gourde.
Bjorkstrand last appeared in the playoffs in 2023 with the Kraken when he tallied four goals and eight points in 14 games.
The Lightning are second in the Atlantic Division and look set to battle in-state rival Florida Panthers in the first round.
