The Toronto Blue Jays have made an offer to free-agent outfielder Anthony Santander, a source told Ari Alexander of KPRC 2 Houston.

Details of Toronto's reported proposal to the 2024 American League All-Star aren't known. Santander is thought to be asking for a five-year deal worth at least $100 million, according to Mark Feinsand of MLB.com.

Santander, the best outfielder left on the free-agent market, has also generated interest from the Detroit Tigers, Los Angeles Angels, and Houston Astros, Alexander reports. It's unclear if any of those teams have made a formal offer to the switch-hitter.

The 30-year-old hit free agency after a breakthrough 2024 campaign in which he hit .235/.308/.506 with 44 home runs and 102 RBIs with the Baltimore Orioles. For his efforts, Santander won his first career Silver Slugger and was named an American League All-Star.

Santander is tied to draft-pick compensation after rejecting Baltimore's $21.05-million qualifying offer in November.

The Blue Jays have been attempting to make a splash throughout this offseason, but have come up short in their pursuit of several marquee free agents, including Juan Soto and Corbin Burnes.
