The Chicago Cubs informed outfielder Seiya Suzuki of some teams interested in trading for him, Suzuki's agent Joel Wolfe said Tuesday, per ESPN's Jesse Rogers.

Suzuki holds a full no-trade clause as part of the five-year, $85-million contract he signed with the Cubs in March 2022.

"It's a small universe where Seiya would consider going," Wolfe said.

Wolfe added that Suzuki isn't interested in becoming a full-time designated hitter after he finished the 2024 season playing DH for the Cubs.

"I think that if he was being posted in Japan, and teams were presenting to them their opportunities, and they said you could come here and be our full-time DH, I don't think he would have signed with that team," Wolfe said, according to Rogers.

Suzuki, 30, had the best offensive season of his career in 2024, posting a 138 OPS+ with 21 home runs, 27 doubles, 16 stolen bases, and 73 RBIs across 132 games.
