Justin Pippen, the son of former Chicago Bulls icon Scottie Pippen, announced his commitment to Michigan on social media Friday.

Pippen is a four-star recruit in this year's class. The 6-foot-3 combo guard chose the Wolverines over California, Florida, Stanford, and Texas A&M.

"I wanted to become a pro, that's my goal," Pippen told 247Sports' Travis Branham. "Just the resources there, the culture there, it's a great group of guys, coach (Dusty May) is very friendly and it's in the Big Ten.

"It's one of the best conferences in the world so you get to play on the big stage. All of that adds up to me wanting to go to the next level."

Pippen averaged 16.5 points, 4.9 assists, and 4.5 rebounds during his senior year at Sierra Canyon. He joins fellow four-star prospect Durral Brooks in Michigan's 2024 recruiting class.

The Wolverines fired head coach Juwan Howard following a disappointing 8-24 campaign.

Ex-Florida Atlantic bench boss Dusty May subsequently agreed to a five-year deal worth $3.75 million per season.
