The Indianapolis Colts and Pro Bowl defensive tackle DeForest Buckner agreed to a contract extension, the team announced Monday.

Buckner's deal is two years and $46 million, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The 30-year-old was set to become a free agent after the 2024 season. His new deal keeps him under contract through the 2026 campaign.

He has been one of the Colts' most consistent players since the club acquired him in a trade with the San Francisco 49ers in 2020. He's recorded at least seven sacks in each of his four seasons in Indianapolis.

Buckner is coming off a third Pro Bowl season after recording eight sacks, two forced fumbles, 11 tackles for a loss, and 21 quarterback hits. He also scored a defensive touchdown off a fumble recovery.
