The Pittsburgh Pirates signed outfielder Michael A. Taylor to a one-year contract.

Taylor's deal is worth $4 million, sources told Jeff Passan of ESPN.

Taylor hit a career-high 21 homers with 51 RBIs, 13 stolen bases, and a .720 OPS over 129 games for the AL Central-winning Minnesota Twins last season.

The 2021 Gold Glover is still an excellent center fielder heading into his age-33 campaign. He finished in the 94th percentile in range, 88th in arm value, and 90th in arm strength in 2023.

Taylor, who won a World Series with the Washington Nationals in 2019, projects to the Pittsburgh's center fielder on Opening Day.

To make room for Taylor on the 40-man roster, the Pirates placed right-hander Dauri Moreta on the 60-day injured list.
