The Boston Red Sox and former All-Star closer Liam Hendriks agreed to a two-year contract with a 2026 mutual option.

The deal is reportedly worth $10 million, according to ESPN's Buster Olney.

The pact could also reach $20 million with incentives, a source told Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

Hendriks is aiming to return in July after recovering from Tommy John surgery.

The 35-year-old right-hander only made five appearances for the Chicago White Sox last season after coming back from a battle with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. However, his return was short-lived due to an elbow injury.

The three-time All-Star was one of the best relievers in baseball between 2019-2022, authoring a 2.20 ERA with 13.6 K/9 and 114 saves over a combined 237 innings between the White Sox and Oakland Athletics.
