The Boston Red Sox are coming to Netflix.

The popular streaming service is teaming up with Major League Baseball to create two projects about one of the league's most historic franchises, they both announced on Wednesday.

Netflix will follow the Red Sox for the upcoming campaign to create a docuseries that will "feature unprecedented access to Red Sox players, coaches and executives throughout the 2024 season," according to a statement on X.

"This is one of the largest marketing initiatives we have ever undertaken," president and CEO Sam Kennedy said, according to MassLive's Chris Cotillo.

"When we formally began discussing this opportunity nearly 18 months ago, we stressed to our players that the decision to pursue this project would ultimately be up to them. I am proud of our players, (manager) Alex Cora, and our baseball operations leadership for having the courage to embrace such a project and open our clubhouse and Fenway Park to a truly global audience."

The series will focus on the human interest elements of players' lives instead of being formatted similarly to HBO's "Hard Knocks," according to The Athletic's Jen McCaffrey.

The series is set to premiere in 2025.

Additionally, Netflix will premiere a brand new documentary, which will look at the 2004 Red Sox, the team that ended the "Curse of the Bambino" by winning the franchise's first World Series title in 86 years.

The documentary is scheduled to air in late 2024.
