Pacers ink Nesmith to 3-year, $33M contract extension
The Indiana Pacers and forward Aaron Nesmith have agreed to a three-year, $33-million contract extension, his agent told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
The 24-year-old becomes the 10th member of the 2020 NBA Draft class to sign a rookie-scale extension, Wojnarowski adds.
The Boston Celtics selected Nesmith with the 14th overall pick that year. The 6-foot-5, 215-pound forward spent the first two seasons of his career with the franchise, posting averages of 4.2 points and 2.2 rebounds per game during his tenure.
Indiana acquired Nesmith in a trade involving Malcolm Brogdon in July 2022. The Vanderbilt alum worked his way off the bench to earn a starting role at small forward with the Pacers.
Nesmith posted per-game averages of 10.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists during his 2022-23 campaign.
