Yankees, Tigers to play 2024 Little League Classic

The New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers will play the 2024 Little League Classic on Aug. 18 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

It'll be the seventh running of the Little League Classic, played in conjunction with the Little League World Series. The Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Cardinals played in the first edition in 2017.
The announcement comes on the same day as the sixth Little League Classic, with the Philadelphia Phillies facing the Washington Nationals on Sunday evening at Muncy Bank Ballpark.
Neither the Tigers nor the Yankees have previously participated in the special annual contest.
