Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Isaac Paredes left Sunday's game with left rib discomfort after a scary collision, the team announced, according to Bally Sports' Tricia Whitaker.

Rays manager Kevin Cash said initial X-rays on Paredes revealed no fractures to his ribs, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times.

Paredes attempted to make a play on a grounder but was hit by Ty France of the Seattle Mariners while the latter was running from second base in the third inning:

Paredes is slashing .267/.372/.494 with 14 homers and 53 RBIs over 75 games during a career season in 2023.
