Former Oregon center Kel'el Ware committed to play at Indiana, he announced Monday.

"I am incredibly excited to embark on my next chapter at Indiana University," Ware told 247 Sports' Travis Branham. "Thank you to coach (Mike) Woodson, coach (Yasir) Rosemond, and the rest of the IU staff and players for welcoming me into their family."

Ware was a McDonald's All-American in 2022. The 7-footer averaged 6.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in 35 games as a freshman for the Ducks.

Indiana has a vacancy at the big man position after forward Trayce Jackson-Davis declared for the NBA draft. Freshman guard Jalen Hood-Schifino also declared, forgoing his remaining college eligibility.
