Damien Harris is staying in the AFC East.

The Buffalo Bills are signing the former New England Patriots running back to a one-year deal, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Harris seemingly confirmed the deal Monday on Twitter.

Harris spent his first four NFL seasons with the Patriots, who drafted him in the third round in 2019. The 26-year-old rushed for 462 yards (4.4 per carry) and three touchdowns in 11 games last year, down from a career-high 929 yards (4.6 per attempt) and 15 scores on the ground in 2021.

He missed time last season due to hamstring and thigh injuries.

As a member of the Patriots, the Alabama product had success against the Bills, averaging 6.4 yards per rushing attempt in four regular season meetings. Harris' 364 yards and five touchdowns versus Buffalo are a career-best against any opponent he's faced at least once.

Devin Singletary - Buffalo's leading rusher in the last four seasons - recently signed a one-year contract with the Houston Texans, leaving the Bills' running back depth chart with James Cook and Nyheim Hines.

Buffalo's offense ranked in the top five in scoring in each of the last three campaigns.
