UFC 281 weigh-in results: Pereira hits mark late, cleared for title bout
Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira both made weight Friday ahead of their middleweight title fight scheduled for the UFC 281 main event in New York City.
Pereira used nearly all of the allotted time before finally hitting the scales with just minutes to spare. He weighed in at 184.6 pounds. Adesanya comfortably made weight at 185 pounds.
Reigning women's strawweight champion Carla Esparza and Zhang Weili also made weight for the co-main event. They each hit the mark at 114.8 pounds.
Michael Chandler and Dustin Poirier made weight for their much anticipated lightweight showdown. Chandler weighed in at 155.8 pounds, while Poirier hit the scales at 156 pounds.
