Denver Nuggets general manager Calvin Booth signed a multi-year extension, the team announced Sunday.

Booth's new deal reportedly ties him to the organization through at least 2024-25, sources told Mike Singer of The Denver Post.

"Calvin has been a huge part of what we've done here over the last five seasons and I have the utmost confidence in him as our general manager," Josh Kroenke, vice-chairman of Kroenke Sports and Entertainment, said in a statement.

"Cal has seen the game from every angle and has an extremely bright basketball mind. I look forward to continuing alongside Calvin and the rest of the organization with the goal of bringing an NBA championship to the city of Denver."

Denver named Booth as general manager in July 2020 under former team president Tim Connelly. Booth took over as the Nuggets' lead basketball executive after Connelly joined the Minnesota Timberwolves in May. Booth, 46, first joined Denver in August 2017, becoming the team's assistant GM following multiple years with the Timberwolves organization.

Booth orchestrated the Nuggets' free-agent signings of DeAndre Jordan (one-year veteran minimum) and Bruce Brown (two years, $13 million) this past summer. He also traded Will Barton and Monte Morris to the Washington Wizards in exchange for veteran guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Ish Smith.

A former center, Booth also played in 10 NBA seasons from 2000-09 with stops at seven different franchises.
