Middleweight Darren Till has agreed to a fight with Dricus du Plessis at UFC 282 on Dec. 10, sources told ESPN's Brett Okamoto.

Contracts have yet to be signed, but both competitors agreed to the date and opponent. The proposed bout will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Till (18-4-1) has withdrawn from four of his past five bookings due to various injuries. The latest setback was a leg issue that forced him to bow out of the co-main event against Jack Hermansson at a UFC Fight Night in July.

"The Gorilla" previously said he'd like to have a couple of fights under his belt before the end of the year.

"The body's never 100%, but I'm coming back what I used to be like - healthy and fit and ready to get a world title, get some wins in," he said in August.

Till's most recent match was at UFC Fight Night in Sept. 2021. He lost by submission to Derek Brunson.

Du Plessis (17-2) will enter the Octagon riding a three-fight win streak in the promotion. He scored a unanimous decision victory over Brad Tavares at UFC 276 in July.
