Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs is optimistic that he'll have an opportunity to play alongside his brother Stefon Diggs in the future.

"Who knows? I feel like it could happen eventually," Trevon told Sports Illustrated's Alex Prewitt.

Stefon, however, believes that the "dream" of the siblings uniting on the same team is "out of reach" after the star receiver signed a four-year, $96-million contract extension with the Buffalo Bills in April.

"Maybe in the next lifetime or something," he said. "I want to finish with the Bills, and I'm pretty sure he's not going anywhere anytime soon."

Stefon, 28, has never played on the same team as Trevon (23) growing up, but fans did receive a brief glimpse of the head-to-head matchup during the 2022 Pro Bowl. Although the two have not worn the same uniform, the pair are often inseparable during the offseason. The Diggs brothers work out with one another and list each other among the best talents at their respective positions.

The 2020 All-Pro wideout has been a fixture in Buffalo's prolific offense alongside quarterback Josh Allen. Stefon has racked up 1,000-yard campaigns in each of his past four seasons, dating back to his tenure with the Minnesota Vikings. He recorded 103 receptions for 1,225 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2021-22.

Meanwhile, Trevon tied an NFL record with seven interceptions within his first six games last season and finished with a league-leading 11 picks. The younger Diggs has two years remaining on his rookie contract.

The Diggs duo joined Jason and Travis Kelce and Joey and Nick Bosa as siblings named to the 2022 Pro Bowl.

While a possible team-up is unlikely in the immediate future, the competitive brothers will get to face off against one another when the Bills host the Cowboys in 2023.
