The Chicago Cubs agreed to a contract extension with manager David Ross through the 2024 season, the team announced Friday.
Ross' deal includes a team option for the 2025 campaign.
The 44-year-old was entering the final guaranteed year of a contract he signed in 2019 after Joe Maddon departed for the Los Angeles Angels.
Ross owns a 105-117 managerial record in his two seasons in Chicago.
Prior to managing, the former big-league catcher was a popular player with the Cubs, helping them win a World Series in 2016.
