The Calgary Flames signed unrestricted free-agent forward Blake Coleman to a six-year contract carrying a $4.9-million cap hit, the team announced Wednesday.

Coleman notched 14 goals and 17 assists over 55 regular-season games for the Tampa Bay Lightning this campaign before adding three markers and eight helpers in 23 playoff games this spring.

The 29-year-old helped the Lightning win the Stanley Cup for the second straight year in 2021. Tampa Bay acquired him in a trade with the New Jersey Devils in February last season.
