News that the Jacksonville Jaguars intend to sign Tim Tebow was met with mixed reviews, from both outside and within the team's building.

Not everyone within the Jaguars organization is thrilled with the idea of adding Tebow, and some don't think it would send the proper message to the locker room, ESPN's Jeff Darlington reports.

New head coach Urban Meyer believes the former Heisman Trophy winner could provide a "cultural jolt" to his squad, according to Darlington.

However, some coaches and players around the league don't necessarily believe Tebow can provide an immediate culture change in Jacksonville, Darlington adds.

Tebow and Meyer formed one of college football's most prolific duos from 2007-2009, winning a national title together in '07. The two also captured one in 2006, but Tebow was the backup to Chris Leak.

The 33-year-old Tebow spent time with four NFL teams between 2010 and 2015, though he only saw regular-season action in his first three seasons with the Denver Broncos and New York Jets. He later embarked on a professional baseball career in the New York Mets organization in 2016.
