Anthony Edwards recently admitted to not knowing anything about baseball, but the Minnesota Timberwolves rookie is still confident in his abilities to play the sport.

In a Q&A with Tyler R. Tynes of GQ, Edwards insisted he could make it as an MLB player, and he believes he could throw a 92 or 93 mph fastball right now and 100 mph with a month of training.

"I gotta get my arm back right! I was a pitcher, but it be hurtin' my elbow," he said. "So once I get my arm back right, we be good."

Edwards also joked about playing for his hometown Atlanta Braves, adding, "Yeah, they can use me … in my offseason!"

The 19-year-old is averaging 18.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists across 58 games this season and has been mentioned in the Rookie of the Year conversation - but he isn't focused on that.

"Everybody be askin' me, I just tell them the same thing: Whoever picking the trophy, whatever it's called, if they think I am, then yeah. If they don't, then cool," Edwards said. "I'm just here to play basketball. I'm tryin' to be the best that I can be."
