Saul "Canelo" Alvarez overmatched Callum Smith at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday to add more world titles to his collection.

The arguably best pound-for-pound fighter defeated his British counterpart by unanimous decision (119-109, 119-109, 117-111) to capture the WBC and WBA super middleweight titles.

Alvarez now holds championship belts in four weight classes.

Canelo landed 43% of his punches compared to Smith's 18% while battering his opponent in the late rounds with power shots.

After the fight, promoter Eddie Hearn revealed that Smith's bicep detached during the bout.

The loss was Smith's first as a professional, with his record falling to 27-1.

Alvarez, meanwhile, pushed his professional record to 54-1-2.

The 30-year-old hasn't lost since 2013 when he was beaten by Floyd Mayweather Jr., although Gennady Golovkin fought him to a draw in 2017.
