Pittsburgh Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey will not play in his team's much-anticipated game against the Baltimore Ravens after Pittsburgh placed him on the reserve/COVID-19 list, the team announced Wednesday.

Pouncey will be one of three Steelers starters who will miss the contest while on the COVID-19 list. Defensive end Stephon Tuitt and running back James Conner are also out after the Steelers placed them on the list last week.

Pouncey is the longest-tenured member of Pittsburgh's offensive line. The 31-year-old center has started 131 games for the Steelers since they selected him 18th overall in the 2010 NFL Draft.

J.C. Hassenauer is expected to make his first career start in Pouncey's place.

Pittsburgh and Baltimore have both dealt with virus issues in the lead-up to Wednesday's clash. The Ravens had over 20 players on their COVID-19 list at one point and will be without several key contributors including Lamar Jackson, Mark Ingram, J.K. Dobbins, and Willie Snead.

The bout between the two AFC North rivals was originally scheduled to take place on Nov. 26, but the NFL postponed the game three times due to the Ravens' outbreak.
