Multiple Black head coaches plan to honor the late John Thompson by wearing a towel over their right shoulder during their season-opening games, ESPN's Myron Medcalf reports.
The longtime Georgetown bench boss famously sported the look throughout his Hall of Fame career.
At least one current head coach reportedly plans to wear the towel throughout the 2020-21 season after receiving permission from Thompson's family.
Thompson died in August at the age of 78. He guided the Hoyas to their first and only national championship in 1984 as well as six Big East Tournament titles.
