Former major leaguer Russell Branyan was arrested Saturday in Tennessee for aggravated stalking and violation of bail conditions, the Williamson County Sheriff's Office said, according to Josh Breslow of WKRN.com.

A department spokesperson said Branyan bonded out of jail, reports Breslow. The sheriff's office didn't explain the reason for the charges against Branyan.

This is the second time in roughly a month that the former 14-year veteran has been arrested. Branyan was charged with felony aggravated assault on Sept. 12, per Breslow.

According to a warrant from that incident, Branyan grabbed his girlfriend by the back of her neck and strangled her. The 44-year-old's girlfriend reportedly suffered injuries to her face, neck, and arm.

Branyan played in a combined 1,059 games with 10 teams, which included stints with the Cleveland Indians, Milwaukee Brewers, San Diego Padres, Cincinnati Reds, and Seattle Mariners.
