Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm announced on Wednesday that he'll forgo his final season of eligibility and enter the 2020 NFL Draft.

Fromm took over as a starter during his first collegiate campaign, earning a 36-7 career record. He led the Bulldogs to an SEC championship as a freshman, eventually losing to Alabama in the national championship.

"I would like to offer my sincerest thank you to the University of Georgia for giving me the privilege of playing football between the hedges of Sanford Stadium," Fromm wrote. "Thank you to coach (Kirby) Smart, who always believed in me and who over the last three years has helped grow that wide-eyed, scared 18-year-old kid who got handed the ball in South Bend into a better man, and secondly a better football player."

The junior passer concludes his time in Georgia fourth in school history with 8,236 passing yards and second with 78 touchdowns through the air.

In a star-studded 2020 quarterback class, Fromm is a possible first-round pick. If the 21-year-old falls out of round one, he'll likely be an early target on Day 2.
