Report: NBA sets salary cap for 2020-21, 2021-22 campaigns

The NBA's projected salary cap and tax level for the 2020-21 season have been set at $116 million and $141 million, respectively, and $125 million and $151 million for the following campaign, sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Based on previous projections, the figures are $1 million lower for the 2020-21 season and unchanged for 2021-22, Charania reports.

LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Paul George are expected to headline the free-agent class of 2021.

The NBA has set the 2019-20 salary cap at $109.140 million per team, with a luxury tax line of $132.627 million.
