Report: Cowboys releasing Allen Hurns

The Dallas Cowboys are releasing receiver Allen Hurns after he spent just one season with the club, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Hurns signed a two-year, $12-million deal with Dallas during the 2018 offseason. He then recorded only 20 catches for 295 yards and two scores last campaign, and the Cowboys approached him about reworking his contract. Hurns chose instead to test the market, Schefter reports.

The 27-year-old broke his fibula during the Cowboys' wild-card game against the Seattle Seahawks in January. He participated in minicamp drills but remained limited.
