Team Canada captain Marie-Philip Poulin scored her 18th career Olympic goal in Saturday's quarterfinal win over Germany to tie Hayley Wickenheiser for the women's all-time Olympic record.

Poulin accomplished the feat with a redirect on Canada's fifth goal of the contest.

She'll have a chance to set the record outright in the semifinals in what will be her 26th career Olympic game - the same number of games Wickenheiser played in her illustrious career.

Wickenheiser still holds a comfortable lead on the women's all-time Olympic points list with 51. Poulin ranks second with 37, followed by Americans Hilary Knight and Jenny Potter at 32.

Poulin is playing in her fifth Winter Games. She's claimed gold three times and scored the game-winning goal in the final of the 2010, 2014, and 2022 Olympics.
